It was a beautiful day to celebrate Emily and Nicholas at Furman University’s Daniel Chapel and Younts Conference Center. They have an amazing love story that was a joy to capture for their wedding!

Their Story:

Emily and Nicholas were introduced in high school. Friendship blossomed 4 years later when Emily was visiting a friend, which happened to be the roommate of the Nicholas. Friends kept up with one another through social media for 4 years until Nicholas bought the pizza restaurant outside of Emily’s community gate. Nicholas reached out and told Emily to come to the restaurant and visit him and from there a relationship formed and two best friends became two soulmates.

The Proposal:

Nicholas took Emily up to Ober, Gatlinburg for a day trip on her birthday for snow tubing/snowboarding. Nicholas pretended to drive Emily to Pigeon Forge for their dinner reservations, which was not true at all. He walked hand in hand with Emily along the big fountain in the middle of all of the restaurants and walked to a spot in front of the fountain where red rose petals were in the shape of a heart and tea candles outlined it. The words “marry me” were in big metal letters with lights in them and more candles surrounding the words on top of the wall of the fountain. Emily’s favorite song was played over the intercom while walking to the destination and during the proposal as Nicholas got down on one knee to pop the best question. Needless to say, best birthday ever.
